don't ya think that in water there will b some hindrance due to hydrogen bonding!!!!

HCl dissolved in water or HCl dissolved in benzene ??
Ans should be water no..because H+ can be more furnished there,

but in benzene u WONT get any H+ ion so frm where will the acidic character come from.
Its definitely HCl in water.. (morrison boyd's mistake i guess try seeing the solution book i dont have it but it mite contain something)
ive asked this to BT and fiitjee. both say HCl in water
