Get this book:
" Solomon's and Fryhle's Organic Chemistry for IIT JEE (Adapted by MS Chouhan) by WILEY INDIA Publication. "
But this book is a bit 'over' priced.

@Vivek: just for conformation, i want to ask you if the book has a yellow cover. n yes is its price Rs.649.?
If you r using this book, can u tell me y is it better since most of the IIT coaching institutes recommend Arihant R.K.Gupta...(Organic Chemistry..)

Yes.. It is that only
http://www.flipkart.com/books/8126521805/search-books-organic-chemistry-for-iit/3?ref=9ab5eaa6-3636-4f5e-8bbc-40420d2a43e5&_l=z0zreNTXOpiPJsqCSh1kaQ--&_r=k4yeyxS5onL+6CIP8XHGKw--
And I recommend it because it will teach you Organic Chemistry in true sense and format. Most books just present very complex reactions in the very first chapters which are not grasped. Follow this book and you'll learn how to solve, Not how to tick correct.

Solomons fryhle's original book (w/o ms chauhan ) is probably better , better take a look at both the books and decide yourself...

don't go for jagadamba singh. there are many conceptual errors and some mechanisms are wrong.

Are you in 11th std?
If yes, then I wouldn't recommend Books made for only IIT JEE since from 2013 that pattern is going to be changed to NAT Probably.....
So other recommended books are:
1. Morrison and Boyd (My frend with AIR 2k in JEE used it)
2. Solomons (Mostly recommended and mechanisms more accurate than Morryson how much I have heard from my teacher)
3. Peter Sykes (My frend with AIR 4k used it and my teachers use it and recommended)
Rest is your choice! I am also an Aspirant! :)
