in the first case the product will be alkene i.e., 2-methyl prop - 2 - ene and in the second case... it will be ether.. i.e., 2 Ethoxy 2 methyl propane....
2- Bromo-2-methyl-propane gives two different products with
1. CH3CH2ONa in presence of CH3CH2OH
and
2. CH3CH2OH alone.
WHAT R THESE PRODUCTS AND WHY ARE THEY DIFFERENT WHEN THEY BOTH PRODUCE SAME ANION i.e. CH3CH2O- ?

CH3CH2OH is a weak acid.
CH3CH2OH → CH3CH2O-+H+
dis equilibrium is more towards left. hence conc of CH3CH2OH >>CH3CH2O-
hence in ethanol , ethanol will react
