Actually this is like a thumb rule in organic chemistry......
U can imagine that if a reaction is carried out with CH3Br and C2H5Br,
u put the CH3Br molecules together and C2H5Br molecules together....
so there is more probability of CH3Br molecules of colliding with each other rather than with C2H5Br molecules and C2H5Br colliding with each other rather than with CH3Br molecules.
