solving C₁ and C₂ simultaneously we get

x²-2x+1=0 (x-1)²=0

at x=1 y=2 or y=-2

hecne C₁and C₂ touch each other at exactly two points(1,2) and (1,-2), hence option B

B............AT x = 1, so y = Â±2
