ya ans shud be c and d..but in FIITJEE archive it's given as a single correct question and ans given is D..
The critical temp of water is higher than O2 becoz H2O molecule has
a)fewer e than O2
b)two covalent bonds
c)V shape
d) dipole moment
ans given is c only...but it should be both c,d naa ?

well subho has a point there....
the reason for C can be ..due to it's V shape it has some appreciable dipole moment..but then O3 has V shape and no dipole moment...so i go for D only...
@govind ..we are comparing O2 and H2O .....H2O has V shape thats why has dipole moment....O2 is linear so no dipole moment..
if ans is C also , then it means that H2O has gr8er CT since it has V shape , so this implies any other compound having v shape has CT gr8er than that of O2 wich aint correct always
So finally whatz the conclusion ??
Anyone got the answer confirmed????????????
""any other compound having v shape has CT gr8er than that of O2 wich aint correct always""
@qwerty
we are comparing H2O and O2 only...not generalized case...
