Longest wavelength.in this case it will be the shell after balmer......as E= hcλ ..as it is the shortest energy trasition after balmer..now we know for balmer n=2 ....therefore a trasition from n=3 to n=2 will have the longest wavelength.....Use the rydberg equation for solving....
for the longest wavelength transition in the Balmer series of atomic hydrogen. please help
