@msp yeah u r right that 3rd eq of equality does not hold true if only one is incorrect and i want a exact value of P4 in terms of P1
same amount of NH4Cl is dropped four times in a evacuated vessel and the final pressures recorded P1,P2,P3 and P4 respectively.NH4Cl dissociates as
NH4Cl(s)=NH3(g)+HCl(g)
when some water is added (assume no change in volume)all the ammonia get dissolve and pressure is recorded P5and some relations is found
P2>P1.............................(1)
P3>P2.............................(2)
P4=2P2...........................(3)
2P5>P4...........................(4)
P4P3 <6P2P1...........................(5)
out of these eq only one is wrong find it and then find relation between P4 and P1
