akshay equivalents of NaOH is half of that of the equivalents of Ca(OH)2

there is a question in organic chemistry posted by srinath related to mechanism and i personally think more of targetiians trying that one that one is easy and conceptual so keep trying

arrey dont take that treaty too seriously :) :D

Lokesh Verma ·

yup finally :)

good one :)

Abhishek Priyam ·

that will be good...

there are many errors today.. "error Day"

Abhishek Priyam ·

Now got it..

[25,27]

I solved one in chemistry.. [1] although silly mol wt...[2]

Lokesh Verma ·

haha.. today we are finding each other's errors :P (how about a treaty not to :))))) ::))))

Abhishek Priyam ·

;P

[2][2] thats my new mol wt of Ca(OH)2 ...

[2]

it is wrong [3]

that will be 57+17

62
Lokesh Verma ·

where did u get 57 from?

33
Abhishek Priyam ·

[7]

Let n gm of Na(OH) and 1-n gm of Ca(OH)2

then

n +2(1-n) = x
40 57 1000

and then 0≤n≤1
to get inequality in x

is it correct..

priyam the range will be 25→27.027 so the only option satisfies is ..............

33
Abhishek Priyam ·

@i mean think of it in terms of the range for the number of moles of (OH)!
[2]

I am getting then x as 24≤x≤35

not a fixed value and two options satisfies that..

yeh nishant the ans is 26 and sorry for replying so late

1
Akshay Pamnani ·

Who told u that??
It is not an equimolar mixture
The problem we are having is that 2 variables and one equation

62
Lokesh Verma ·

no sankara.. that is not correct...

Manish Shankar ·

Why no one is trying this?

1
Akshay Pamnani ·

@ Sankara
why??

msp ·

nof of moles of Ca(OH)2 shud be equal to 2 times the no of moles of NaOH

62
Lokesh Verma ·

i mean think of it in terms of the range for the number of moles of (OH)!

sir i cant get ur hint sir.wat means the possible combinations of NaOH and Ca(OH)2

62
Lokesh Verma ·

no it wotn..

3
msp ·

can this combination NaOH and Ca(OH)2react with each other sir

62
Lokesh Verma ·

it is much simpler than this complex thinking...

Hint:
what will be the possible combinations of NaOH and Ca(OH)2

3
msp ·

sir i got the eqn
as meq of acid=meq of ca(oh)2+meq of NaOH
=3meq of NaOH
is it correct sir

1
Philip Calvert ·

sorry bhaiyya i am so miserable in chemistry that i didn't even try this[2]

3
msp ·

sir i didnt get any ans sir.so i didnt post sir

62
Lokesh Verma ·

arrey i meant that no one other than us is finding it any useful... :)

the answer is 26 isnt it?

1
gagar.iitk ·

i did'nt get u can u explain plz

62
Lokesh Verma ·

yup it is ..

and unfortunately only those of us who dotn need it are finding it of any use :D
