hint : use the fact that electric field EVERYWHERE inside a conductor is ZERO

Woh toh pata hai, Since in Electrostatics equilibrium condition there is not net charge flow and hence the net Electric field inside the conductor must be zero. But How do I ascertain it mathematically.

A system tends to gain minimum potential energy.
For two positive charges the potential energy is minimum when they are at maximum distance. So, They spread at the surface to have maximum distance from other charges.
