if 3 continuous and differentiable functions a(x),b(x),c(x) are inserted b/w ex and f(x) , then sequence becomes a GP.If g(x),k(x),l(x) are 3 continuous and differentiable function inserted b/w them ,then sequence is AP.It is given that f(x) intersects curve y=(x+5)/(x2+1) at x=xo where xo is smallest integral value of x which belongs to solution set

satisfying mod(x)≤ [x] where [.] denotes GINT.

Q1 Identify type of mapping of f(x)
Q2 If r is common ratio fo GP and d is common diff of AP,then soln set of inequality r>d is????
Q3 the value of lim (a4(x) -5 )/x
x---> 0

Q4For what value of x the common diff of GP is less than e-x/2

Too much of analysation

presently found that f(x)≥0
f(0)=0
f'(0)=0

b(x)≥0
b(0)=0
b'(0)=0

and either one of a(0) or c(0)=0

Still Analysing................

x0=0

so f(x) passes throught (0,5)

@Subash

S'rry dude that was 1 mistake I did and spoiled the whole thing

But f(x)≥0

and b(x)≥0 are still satisfied

For the first q f(x) is sutely not onto function

im not getting anything except #5

bhaiyyas and sirs, can you please provide solution for this?

Subash ·

some one provide solution i think it will be helpful before jee

ya subash is rite................

i posted the question becoz it would cover whole diff calculus and help everyone....

plzzzzzzz nishant sir help me..........

x0 = 0

so f(0) = 5

also f(x) =exr4 so f : (-∞,∞)→ (0,∞)

take f(x) = 5ex (ill tell u why in another post )

then a(x) = 51/4 ex

so the value of lim (a4(x) -5 )/x = 5(e4x -1)/x =20
x---> 0

r=51/4 and d=ex now r>d → x<(ln5)/4

for part4 of ur Q i dont know if GPs have common diff anyway frm abv its easy to find common ratio or common diff of AP and compare

Celestine preetham ·

I took f(x) = 5ex trivially

infact f(x) has infinite solutions with f(0)=5

so in a sense the Q is WRONG

u need to provide xtra info Eureka !!!!!

( not gud enuf for a QOD [17] )

9
Celestine preetham ·

eureka confirm that the Q is wrong

??

eureka123 ·

ok i will try to search that question........after JEE all my study material is in a mess...[3][3]
but my instinct says that question is rite..[7][7]

9
Celestine preetham ·

how can Q be rite ????

assume an arbitary f(x)

and u can define a b,c,g,k,l in terms of f and ex itself !!!!

we certainly need xtra info
