We tend to neglect the importance of this day. We are just happy that it is a bank holiday but indeed think about if this day was not there we would still be ruled by English ppl
19stop this stupidity !!!! just chanting some words senselessly is bogus.....if you are really concerned about the day then do something constructive, which of course nobody does,.....so no use saying those things....but this looks comic out here !!! better to stop it !!!

19if we think a bit we can reflect upon the fact that we think of this day just as a holiday......that is why we are so low ....look at Japan ...no holidays there on this day....but don't say shamelessly that we can "celebrate" independence" day ....because we don't do a single bit of the work for our country which some martyrs had done some decades ago....they should have celebrated this day....not we!!!! we are merely tasting "their" fruits of labour and harbouring stupid comments and things here and there:
some examples:
(1) having Gandhian idles written on the office clipboard but still taking bribes !!!!
(2) ministerial scams ....when we know for well what "ministers " we had before the so called "independence"
(3) widespread poverty and caste scandals.....do these reflect events or facts on which "we" should pride ourselves and celebrate "Independence" day...
let us better not do it.... at least i am not going to do this "obnoxious" thing!!!
i don't think this piece of advice is noteworthy for "independent" citizens in this site...you can continue at ease....i will not interfere !!!!
1@ ORGANIC , I've just noticed that you seem to be the person who just complains and complains ,you yourself are not interested to bring about a change so better keep your mouth shut atleast we'll celebrate our independence day and you prefer to post in boys vs girls threads which are of no avail either to the nation or to us :P . We know our history and thanks for reminding it . To wish each other on this day is to remember the great souls who gave us this fruit . It so happens that you didn't even wish us all even after seeing many people wish what a shame a 5-yr old kid would know better . IF YOU THINK WE'RE NOT PROGRESSING THEN INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING AND WAITING FOR CHANGE TO COME ABOUT KNOCKING , TRY TO BE THE CHANGE . GOOD LUCK !!
