@ Vwake, wake up, its a very famous book for organic chem.
@ Harshika, you can also try arihant( I know it has mistake, but you can use solomons to crosscheck and ask your teachers for help if you have some doubt)
But first do NCERT and also take S N Sanyal, its a very good book for reaction and all and also it is small( darr nahi lagega dekhkar iss book ko)
If you have bought it then start with it, if havn't then wait for others to reply.
Best of luck :)

dont go for too many books , take 1 book , complete it .
either solomons or arihant , but solomons doesnt cover jee syllabus , and arihant has too many mistakes and does not build any concept, arihant sirf ratwaega
solomons is best for concepts ,

agreed with qwerty...
go for just one book...
be with the book u have bought...
or if u have not bought any then i will suggest ANY ONE of the following books:
Solomons, Morrison Boyd, Arihant : 3 of them are best in their own way and willl help u in their own way...
if u have just IITJEE in your mind then Arihant chalega...for better concepts follow Solomons (dont touch other books till u have finished it)
And if u consider yourself a patient individual and someone who craves for knowledge more than an IITJEE rank then there are books like Morrison Boyd, I L Finar...books which are often off-topic w.r.t. IITJEE syllabus but will help you a lot with your basics..
but DISCLAIMER: u will be no where in ORGANIC CHEMISTRY if u start with MOrr BOyd and are not patient enough to complete it fully!!!
and again i say FOLLOW JUST ONE BOOK....EITHER THE BOOK YOU HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT (HAVE FAITH IN IT YAAR) OR JUST ANY ONE BOOK NOT EVEN TWO .... HAVE FAITH IN ONE BOOK AND YOU WILL BE BLISSFULLY HAPPY!!! (AND GENIUS TOO) :P

For the beginning, theory : Solomons or M & B. Solomons is recommended as M & B is too long and in-depth.
For the questions, Solomons has concept builders and I've heard fellow tiitian Tushar mention MS Chouhan's questions, though those seem more like AIEEE questions to me...use Arihant in that case.
Also, you can use my notes if you wish : http://targetiit.com/iit-jee-forum/posts/organic-moolah-notes-new-thread-16726.html
