@Prateek
Yes It will. The announcement got delayed. But we will start very very soon. I have some errand right now.
Will come back and put up the announcement :)

22) I dont agreee :( :)
35) Well there is no mistake in what u are saying.. but i dont see any inconsistency! (I think that depends on the system.. You are considering a bomb. But I think satya(who made the question) was referring to the individual parts!) I will refer this one to him :) May be he would like to address the question directly :)
14) Yeahh It has not.. dont worry it will
70) I din check to be true :) Will do that.. or else manish will in a bit :)

35) wrt to a particular instant of time conservation of mom can be applied to ALL FORCES ur reason that gravity isnt impulsive is rong cos even an impulsive force takes time dt
22) i hope that u agree with me
14) not yet changed
70) .1/100 =e^- kt solve for t

sir, pls try to give all the 4 options to every questions, when results r out.........it will become easier to understand
& what about 72 que..........???????????

22no thats wat im trying to tell wen u go to a non zero value u dont go there instantaneously milkman doent have inf power im sure

22) Well reaching down to zero does not make it discountinuous..
but starting from a non zero value each time does! :)
14) Yes I did the ulta :) :P
35) The all points is wrt to space: Not Time *you could say that it was a bit ambiguous!
70) Still checking :)

k nish this time all the q were correct but ans few are rong ;)
14) its acd not b ( in q u asked which arent true)
22) milking of cow is definitely not periodic and its continuous
rate of milking = 0 doesnt mean its discontinuous is it ?
u see u can defintely draw the curve without lifting pencil
35) conservation of mom cant be applied at all points all the time
it can be applied only at moment of collision. so ans must be none of these
70) t = 3X2.303/k check that u get 3hr 45min
kindly excuse if im rong somewere;0

obviously not , that's wy we have other eqns like the Dirac and Virial eqn of state for better exlpiannation .
I think , I got your point . the Q asks at what temperatures the and pressures the real gas satisfies the van der Waal's eqn .
yup .. thanks Manish and Nishant.
It was helpful . I read too much b/w the lines thought that u're asking for , what conditons real gas behaves like ideal?
sorry for the trouble.
my mistake.
thank you

A question???
Does real gases always follow Vander Waal's Equation?????

·2008-12-17 00:06:48
but doesn't Q imply that ove what range does Real gas baheve like ideal ? as the van der Waal's eqn was setup to make sure that , real gas properties can be explained , the correction factor and all.

Q 51 v hav to find change in momentum not energy
Q18 was this a 1 mark Q,i hav got 1 mark
Q38 both are incorrect no opt
Q 9 y is the reason wrong
51: That was corrected sometime back.. Please check
18) Do u think it was worth more ;)
38) Yup Ideally both are wrong!
9) It is given there. (The function is not given to be differentiable) for instance |x| between -1 and 1 )

when did i say that we want c=0??
the point 0 was not mentioned!
it basically means that |x| will take all vaues between 1/2 and 1

no, not only continuity is required, it states
if in domain [a,b], if f(a) & f(b) r of opposite sign then their exist one c in (a,b) for which f(c) = 0
62
Lokesh Verma
·2008-12-16 22:18:47
because continuity is the only requirement!

yes no

I attempted Q 36 but it is showing -->>did not attempt
i think correct options are 1,2,3
also, i was supposed to tick for Q28 but ticked for Q 27 :P..this is my mistake
but what abt Q 36 :P (dont blame me as 35th is correct this time) :P :P

but f(a) & f(b) r not of opposite sign. then how come intermediate theorem?????????
it is a necessary condition...........
