0.25?
2 moles of an ideal diatomic gas are in the cylinder at temperature T. Suppose on supplying heat to the gas its temperature remains constant but' n ' moles get dissociated into atoms. IF heat supplied to the gas is 0.25 RT, then value of n is
A) 1 mole B) 0.5 mole C) 0.25 moles D) 1.2 mole

no change in internal energy, as temp is constant.....
so, Heat supplied=Work done
0.25RT=PdV=\DeltanRT

i think internal energy would have been same if moles had also been the same.
my soln:
since voume is same thus W=0
=> ΔQ= ΔU
0.25RT = {(2-n)*2.5RT+ 2n*1.5RT}- {2*2.5RT} = 0.25*nRT
=>n=1
