Q. When an object cooled down, heat is withdrawn from it. Does the entropy of the object decrease in the process ? If yes, is it a violation of the 2nd law of thermodynamics stated in terms of increase in entropy ?

Entropy of the system can decrease or increase.
Total entropy change of the system + surrounding always positive
So your doubt is cleared :)
