use momentum conservation eqn to get final velocity
then using initial n final velocity u can find loss in kinetic energy
it cumes out to be 1.98J
half of it goes to ice
thus energy to ice=.99 j
equate it to m*l
l=latent heat of fusion
A bullet of mass 10 g moving with a speed of 20m/s hits on a ice block of mass 990g kept on a frictionless floor and gets stuck on it.How much ice will melt if 50%of the lost K.E goes to ice?(Temp of ice block=0 degree celcius)
