6 soln i think.

convert cos 3x to sin(90-3x)

and sinC-sinD will help i.e convert it to products.......
:P but i don't remeber the formula.....:P so u better try this way...

Actually it is asked for no of solns only so rough sketch will help...
(I solved this by roughs sketch lets see if 6 soln is correct :).

thanks abhishek..

wonderful graph ipower..

how did u make that! i will die in paint :L

ok.. where can i find it?

6 is right
u can also plot the graph of both func and find the pts of intersections

for such ques where u dont have to give the values this method do the magic in less than 1s !!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry!!! i am being too unrealistic
30s is fine

Is that prog which sketches curve for any fnctns.......

These are helpful but U should use it wisely it can block ur thinking process...

swetha!!!!! how on earth u thought that he sketched that on paint
my god
it is like unifying all the laws of physics in a single equation.

you are right about saying not using it. but it is not for drawing graphs actually. it is for euclidean geometry.

In the above question, how can we convert sin2x into cos(90-2x)??what if 2x were greater than 90deg???Please reply!!

Well Krish.. this formula works for all x.. there is nothing special about x being less than 90

sin(x)=cos(90-x) for all x! :)
