Find the quotient

Let there be a quotient of 2 natural nos in which the denominator is 1 less than the square of the numerator. If we add 2 to both numerator and denominator, the quotient will excess 2/3. If we subtract 3 from both numerator and denominator, quotient will lie between 0 and 1/10. Determine the quotient.

Check the question again. There might be some misprint. If the question is as given, there are no such fractions.

Let the required quotient be xx2-1 where x is a natural number. The given info:

x+2x2+1 > 23 ---- This gives x = 1, 2

0 < x-3x2-4 < 110 ---- This gives x ≥ 4.

So the two equations cannot be simultaneously satisfied.
