2121well the idea is (x) and [x] are both integers.
so only possibilities are [x]= (x)=±1
1hint: 2 cases, x= I+f
or x=I
for case 1, I(I+1)=1, which has no integral solution, hence from case 2, I^2=1, or I=+-1
