x=2.
if i get more, i will tell :P
Find the all the rational values of x for which√(x+x2+3) is a rational no
Find the all the rational values of x for which√(x+x2+3) is a rational no
there is a concept that the square root of an number is a perfect square or it is a irrational number..
so u have to find the condition that the number you have given is a perfect square!
ofcourse yo have to find a trick to make it a perfect square by putting x=p/q
hmmm...
there is a trick...
take y-x=q (q= rational no. .. since diff of rationals is rational)
so , √x2 + x +3 - x = q
=> x2 + x +3 = (q+x)2
=> (1-2q) x = q2 - 3
=> x= q2 - 3 / (1-2q)
here q = any rational no.

i did this kinda sum erlier...
but that tym did it myself only...
forgot how i got the idea then :P
sorry :(
may be like this........
we have to take into account two rational no.z at the same tym ...
so we need to connect them some way ..
u can even add ...
but not multiply or dividde..
(THIS IS MY 1000TH POST :p :p :p )
