What is the number of matches to be played in a tennis tournament with n players? (assume there is no playoff for losers) i.e. no match for 3rd/4th position. Only the winners keep playing!

Easy but only if you know the solution!

Each match leads to the elimination of one player. In all, n-1 players need to be eliminated. So the total number of matches will be n-1!
