probability of it being divisible by 2 is {1-(1/2)3}.
Probability of it being divisible by 5 is {1-(4/2)3}.
So the probability will be?
x is the product of three natural number. The probability that x is divisible by 10 is....
probability of it being divisible by 2 is {1-(1/2)3}.
Probability of it being divisible by 5 is {1-(4/2)3}.
So the probability will be?
i think it should be.....divisible by 5 is {1-(4/5)3}.
then a) is the ans
I think keshar made a typing mistake
probability of it being divisible by 2 is {1-(1/2)3}.
Probability of it being divisible by 5 is {1-(4/5)3}.
probability of it being divisible by both 2 and 5 is
{1-(1/2)3}.{1-(4/5)3}
for it to be divisible by 2 then any of the three should be divisible by 2
so it is 1- none of these are divisible by 2...
none of them is divisible by 2 is (1/2)3
@ Abhirup
The number x will be odd only when all 3 natural numbers are odd
so probability of being odd=1/23
so probability of x being even =1-1/23
now number would be not be divisible by 5 if none of the 3 natural numbers are a multiple of 5,so take any of sets of 5 natural numbers, find probability that neither of the 3 are a multiple of 5,so we can find probability that x is a multiple of 5
Hope u understood
