Write down expression for the area using integrals. Then differentiate w.r.t. t and use Newton Leibnitz theorem. Hopefully it should work. [4]

jus imagine the kind of upper and lower limits u'll get by solving da parab and da line!!!!
It'll be of the form {-b +- √(b2 - 4ac)} / 2a.....
so not that time savvy na... ;)

tapan .. it is a painful question..
but you can try taking limits as h+k and h-k
where h=-b/2a and k=D/2a
thus you will eliminate some terms more simply.

oh k sir.... if u say ther isnt ne shortcut then my dbt is solved......
fine jus wanted to know if ther was ne shorter meth to solve this type of a sum.....
i guess with the 3min stipulation per questn in IIT, this has lil prob of appearinng in the JEE then....

You should realise that it is not that you have to solve every question...
If there are questions that take too much time.. then dont waste time...
