see differentiation of sec-1x = - x1-x2 and
differentiation of sin-1x = 11-x2

use this property and chain rule ......

y=sec-1x+1x-1+sin-1 x-1x+1

= cos-1 x-1x+1 +sin-1 x-1x+1

=Î /2

so dy/dx=0

sec -1 x - 1x + 1 = cos -1 x - 1x + 1 , only when , -1 ≤ x - 1x + 1 ≤ 1 , whuch may not hold for any x .
