29Dunno where I am making some mistake...but i am also getting Ans: 3 ..for this question..this kinda question can be solved by using graphs..i am getting three square boxes of area 1 cm2 square each..
when -1 < x < -2 ...-2 < y < -3..
0 < x < 1.....0 < y < 1..
2 < x < 3 ... 3 < y < 4..

wen 4 < x < 5 ...then 6 < y < 7..which is not there in the question..so looks like there is misprint in the limits given for Y in the question...
