""""Organic chemistry is the study of carbon compounds (except CO, CO2,
carbonates, hydrogencarbonates, carbides and cyanides) obtained from
natural sources or synthesized in the laboratories.""""""
so, my questn is that...y these exceptions are given...????..they also have carbon as their constituent....so they must be organic too....

Actually, the concept of organic chemistry was developed many years ago. Anything that came out of organisms were considered special and that they could not be created artificially. We do not exhale CO, so its not organic... but, CO2 is also not organic as it can be developed artificially, or rather, it could be developed artificially when the concept of organic chemistry came into being....
