Calculate the volume of water in the sphere, and equate it with the volume of water in the cube....... :)
Still did not get it??
- Astha Gupta no...i cannot get the required equationUpvote·0· Reply ·2013-09-09 10:57:52
Volume of a sphere=43Ï€ r3
r=3cm
Volume of the cube filled with water upto height h =52h
Equating the equations mentioned above,
h=1.44Ï€ cm
- Astha Gupta thanks...
Volume of the sphere = 43Ï€ * radius3
Therefore,
volume of the aforesaid sphere
= 4 * 22 * 3 * 3 * 33 * 7cm3
= 36Ï€ cm3
Volume of water = 36Ï€ cm3
Area of base of cube = edge2 = (5 cm)2 = 25 cm2
Therefore,
required height
= 36Ï€ cm325 cm2
= 4.5257 cm (approximately)
