instrumentation is mostly electrical/electronics
Guys, I'm in dire need of advice and this seems the place to get it! I have a jee air of 1659 and I may get one of the following fields. Could you please help me decide which of these I should take as my first preference?
1. Aerospace Engg. at KGP or Kanpur or Madras
2. Instrumentation Engg. at KGP
3. Civil Engg. at any institute
4. Mechanical or Electrical at institutes other than the original 5
Also, I'd like to know more(apart from what is given in the brochure) about instrumentation and aerospace engg. fields and people's opinion about them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Actually I am in XI but if u ask my preference its better to go with CIVIL
see follow ur heart
wat do u want to learn out of the above ?
find which subject interests u most and put it as ur preference
forget job opportunities
if iitians are unemployed then who else will be
I actually don't care about job opportunities.
I'm actually more interested pursuing further studies in technical field.
I'd actually like to know which is more promising from a technical perspective.
for aerospace i think iit kanpur is best becoz i read somewhere that they have their own runway sort of thing(not compleely sure)
and as everyone said....follow ur heart...scope is everywhere..its just how many students will be able to find it quicker....
in general the ethenic branches (civil, electrical, mech)should always be favoured over others,,[1][1]
