" 1/A-1/(2A/3) = k t1/2 " ---> Sir here u mean t 2/3 ??
If yes then ya I got ur method
THANKS
The ratio of half life and two third life (t2/3) for a second order kinetics is
1. 3 : 4
2. 2 : 3
3. 3 : 2
4. 1 : 2
ans - 4
I want explanation
For a second order reaction,
dA/dt = - k A2
This implies
-dA/A2=k dt
Integrating, we get
1/A-1/Af=k t
1/A-1/(A/2) = k t1/2
-1/A = k t1/2
so
1/A-1/(2A/3) = k t1/2
-1/2A = k t2/3
From which you get option 4
" 1/A-1/(2A/3) = k t1/2 " ---> Sir here u mean t 2/3 ??
If yes then ya I got ur method
THANKS
