as the coil is cut the resistance of each piece will be halved and now the total power will be the contribution of both
intitally we have
(220)2/R=100
finally the total power=
(220)2/(R/2)+ (220)2/(R/2) (As the voltage across both the coils are same)
=4*(220)2/R=4*100=400
