u havent given the direaction of mag field ?? ***************************************
if i take it along +ve z-axis,
direction of magnetic force is along negative y.
hid it.. cos forces will cancel out.
so i thnk ans should be D. [havnt solved]
A block of mass 4m and a conducting square loop of mass m are connected by light insulating string passing over smooth pulley. The plane of loop is perpendicular to the magnetic field,as the system si relaesed.
a)the block does not move
b)the loop starts rotating about Y axis
c)the loop moves down with constant velocity
d)the accelration of block is constant but not zero

i think option D too
assuming B to be constant
but isnt the magnetic force zero( magnetic moment and B are parallel or antiparallel)
@skyThe plane of loop is perpendicular to the magnetic field i think magnetic field direction is mentioned
yeah yeah ..
thats y may be its not mentioned.. :)
it will behave simply like a mass of m tied to the string..
