there is an infinite long cylindrical cavity in an infinite conductor. a positive point charge is kept (fixed) on the axis of the cylinder.
stat1 : in electrostatic condn, electric field at any point near the the surface of the cavity wil be radial.
because (this is the first full becoz i have written afetr mah boards :P ),
stat2 : a tangential component of net E-field will result in surface current.

charge is there in the cavity... so it is not zero..and its not inside conductor...
