(C₁ + C₂ )/ 2

V_A-V_B =( V_A- V_D) + (V_D -V_B)

= Q₁/C₁ + (Q-Q₁)/C₂

Suitably frame the equations to eliminate Q₁ from the equation and get the eq. capacitance as Q/V_A-V_B

the first observation is that C1 and C2 are in parallel so the effective capacitance will be C1+C2

THen there are two such combinations in series.

Hence, the capacitance will be (C1+C2)/2
