because potential diff is not same.....[1]
had it be same then it would have been in parallel
i am totally weak in capacitors so just started with that topic.
find the capacitance of the resulting capacitor in the arrangement shown.
also please tell me in general how to do such sums when a dielectrics are inserted between the plates of capacitors.
[11]................not the easiest questions to start a topic with........I think u should first try some simpler question first.[1]
The concept to solve the dielectric question is to effectively determine the type combination of capacitors(series or parallel) within 2 plates........Then consider infintesimal elements and write individual capacitance for that element and then integrate with proper limits.....[1]
Solving this question.,........will reply in a few minutes........[1]
I have done the main job............hope u can integrate it .....[1]
here E=ε and I by mistake took k2 and k1 in opp face.....Hope u will try to grasp the concept only[1]
hey can u tell me how did u take dC is series with dC1 AND dC2
remainig calculation i am able to understand.

Eureka. pls tell us what all we should remember while doing such questions.........like.....post ur thought process (without the vulgar thoughts [3])
just keep this thing in mind when solving dielectric problems.............eveything will be ok
