what does this statement then mean:because of the cylindrical symmetry for the two charge system, at all points in a vertical plane containing the dipole vector, the electric field lies in that plane.
what does this mean:Directly above and below the dipole, along the dipole axis, the field is vertically upwards whereas in the equatorial plane, the field is vertically downwards.
