SIMPLE YET IMPORTANT

Why cannot we use the ampere's circuital law while finding the magnetic field of a wire of finite length? Though we can very easily use it when the wire is of infinite length.

i think the magnetic field shud be like this


and the field is not uniform

the magnetic induction is not constant and so we cant find the magnetic induction by using ampere's law

yeah this is true because of the phenomenon called fringing of magnetic field!
