i think its a helix....coz wen it comes perpendicular...its a circle...n large radius is mentioned so dat we can consider the variation caused in magnetic field at various points of the circle or helix[as the case here] is negligible compared to the radius of the solenoid........
it is indeed a helix with mvsinθ/r = B q
and pitch of the helix can be obtained by finding the time period from the above eqn n putting it in vsinθ x T.
the value of B is μ n i where n is number of turns per unit length........
eureka take the two components n see that the v sin θ will make it go in a circle nad v cosθ will take it ahead along the axis...the axis will be the axis of the helix too...
