Planet X is a ball with center O. Three spaceships A, B and C land at random on its surface, their positions being independent and each uniformly distributed on the surface. Spaceships A and B can communicate directly by radio if angle AOB < 90 degrees. Find the probability that they can keep in touch (with, for example, A communicating with B via C if necessary) is ?

hey mathematician look for it,

case 1: when c is not needed

fixing b a pt.(later we'll see for b also)a can be placed at 90/360 ways ,also in both sides therefore its 2 x 90/360

further when c is not needed in between a and b therefore it placing probability take value 2 x 270/360 (2 x as for both case of a being on either sides).

Also b can be placed in any angle threreforp() = 1/360

therefore the net prob being

(2 x 90/360) x (2 x 270/360) x (1/360)

similarly case2:when c is needed for communicating
