tried uploadin the figure..didn't work.
what i'm trying to say is, isn't the diag. from 2 vertices NOT on the same square, but frm the 2 parallel planes? or simply put, in subhash's fig. the 2nd point ought to be the one vertically above where he's markd it, right?

eh?? are u sure the diagonal is on the square and not from two opposing vertices of the cube?? subhash, maine toh waisa hi kiya tha aur jawaab likh diya. tumne doosre method se kiya hai.....heeeheeeeheeeeheee

The problem should be :
"if p is the perpendicular distance of an angular point of a cube, each of which side is 47, from a diagonal which does not pass through that angular point,then 3p^2 is equal to ??
