(B) PCT
Moumita Sen This is not the correct answer. In PCT or proximal convoluted tubule, which come right after the Bowman's capsule, some substances such as amino acids, glucose, and salts are selectively reabsorbed and unwanted molecules are added in the urine. Water is not reabsorbed here.

Dear Ma'am,
I read it in a book that PCT reabsorbs most of the water (about two-thirds) and much of Na+ and Cl- ions. Also, some reabsorption of water and Na+ ions takes place in the Loop Of Henle and the remaining water and Cl- ions are reabsorbed by the DCT.
Please correct me if I am wrong....!
Moumita Sen You are right, I was wrong. Most of the water is indeed reabsorbed through the proximal convoluted tubule. Thanks for correcting me.
