k i gues even einstein cudnt ans this ;))))
why is bohr orbit non radiating ?
even in this case shudnt there be em radiation

well... dats d basic assumption of bohr's model... he assumes the orbit's to be consisting of stable energy level... though practically an electron radiates energy, it is assumed to be consisting of constant energy as long as it is in a particular orbit...
this assumption is same as, v consider earth as a stable object for all practical purposes in daily lyf...
hope ur doubt is cleared... [1]
in case of standing wave condition the charge wont emit the radiation
2πr=nλ condition for standing wave
mv=h/λ de broglie
substituting the values we can get mvr=nh/2Ï€
guy i know abt the assumption and postulate
im just asking the reason for its weird exception
haha!!!!!
Well, i completely agree with MAK, its the basic assumption of Bohr but not justified..!!
~~~CHEERS~~~
somewhat correct...!!!
arey yaar, every teacher teaches d same in d first class of bohr's model... dat stable energy levels is d assumption of bohr to overcome d defects of rutherford model...
n btw... who's dis mak...? thrs no mak existing in dis site... [3] [4] [6]
@subhash,,, arey isiliye toh bohr ko nobel prize mila tha... becuse it is stable [3]
i too dun know exactly... [chem toh waise hi pata nahi... aur upar se itnaaaaa tricky doubt... waise yeh mera class 9 se hi doubt hai :P]
do u mean that why is there no radiation when the electron moves in the same orbit?
in bohrs orbit the electrons r in uniform circular motion.an emr is produced if there is change in the magnitude also.
an accelerated charge emits emr rite
if the bohr orbit is circular it is accelerated and so it has to emit emr
then how is it stable sky
