which one is correct??? in general if a block(moving or stationary) is kept on a wedge, will the normal force be greater than weight or less than weight???
also explain in the case of a block tied to a string. will the tension be greater/lesser than weight???

in Pg91 the forces r balanced along the inclined and perpendicular to the incline
N=MgCosθ came by balancing the forces in the direction perpendicular to the incline plane
In pg 107 Q2 the actual diagram is not this
although it gives u the rough idea of the picture
the particle is performing circular motion forces r balanced along the horizontal and the vertical
analyze a car moving on a circular track and a centripetal force is acting on it
or in other words u can say that the normal will vary in this case
