a1=Δv/Δt=v2-v1t2-t1
a2=Δv/Δt=v3-v2t3-t2
by the problem, the acceleration is constant.
So, a1=a2
=> v2-v1t2-t1=v3-v2t3-t2
by cross multiplication, we get,
v2-v1v3-v2=t2-t1t3-t2
taking negative sign common, we get,
v1-v2v2-v3=t1-t2t2-t3
A point moves with uniform acceleration and v1,v2,v3 denote the average velocities in the 3 successive time intervals of time t1,t2,t3 . which of the following is true ?
a)(v1-v2):(v2-v3)=(t1-t2):(t2+t3)
b)(v1-v2):(v2-v3)=(t1+t2):(t2+t3)
c)(v1-v2):(v2-v3)=(t1-t2):(t2-t3)
d)(v1-v2):(v2-v3)=(t1+t2):(t2-t3)
