900
I'm not sure what's the ans???
If the latitude of a place is 30°, the pole star will be seen at an altitude of
A. 30° B. 0° C. 90° D. 60°
we know that the pole star is directly above the North pole. Thus, if somebody is at the North pole (i.e altitude 90°), then it will be directly overhead (i.e altitude 90°) and if somebody is at the Equator (i.e atitude 0°), then it will be at the horizon (i..e altitude 0°).....thus at 30° latitude the pole star will be seen at an altitude of 30° i guess........but i m not sure of it....
the positioning of pole star is constant wrt every latitude of earth.so it will not change for someone at north pole and someone at 30° lat.
also @iota it dosent make difference whether in u r 30°N or 30°S
p.s-- for this reason pole star was used as a compass by sailors in earlier days
actually its a well known fact that latitude of a place is equal to the altitude of the pole star at that place........so answer will be 30° only
hey where did you come to know about this well known fact that latitude of a place is equal to the altitude of pole star...???
