Why do the materials which are denser react slowly?

The molecules of the materials which are denser generally tend to move generally slowly or leave the original cluster of compound to react with the other molecule.

This may be because of higher Intermolecular Forces or even due to strong dipole interaction. (Don't know)

So the reaction rate is slowed down.
