Ques) Calculate the lattice energy of aslat MX(s) from the data given below:-
Heat of formation of MX (\DeltaH) = -550 kj/mol
Heat of sublimation of M(s) = 80 kj/mol
Heat of dissociation of X2 (D) = 155 kj/mol
Ionisation Energy of M (I) = 374 kj/mol
Electron Affinity of X(E) = - 343 kj/mol

Plz explain the answer clearly.

Lattice energy=Heat of formation-(Heat of sublimation+Heat of dissociation/2 +Ionisation Energy)-(Electron Affinity)
=> LE= -550-(80+155/2 +374)-(-343)=-739 KJ/mol
