ahaan...thanks alot!
A dog of mass m is standing on the edge of a stationary horizontal turntable of totational inertia I and radius R. The dog walks once around the circumference of the turntable.
What fraction of a full circle does the dog's motion make with respect to the ground? Express your answer in terms of m, I and R. Ignore friction at the axle of the turntable.
We can conserve the angular momentum to get-
mvR = I(omega) where v is the velocity of dog w.r.t ground and omega is the angular velocity of the turntable w.r.t ground
No idea after this.

about the hinge.. or the center of the table..
the force by the dog on the table = force by table on dog (opposite in direction)
so the torque is equal... but opposite in direction
so I1α1 = -I2α2
integrating we get I1ω1=-I2ω2 (constant of integration will be zero because initally they were at rest..
Integrating again, we get I1θ1=-I2θ2
we know that θ1+θ2= 2pi
now solve [1]
