atleast 1/2 is what i got at that time.
a rectangular container of height 3m,width 3m each is filled with ideal liquid upto 3/2m.Container is pulled horz with acc a=g.The gauge pressure at point A as shown in fig is P1.
if container is completely filled with liq and closed from top and pulled horz by same acc. in smae direction pressure at A is P2
Find P1/P2
is the ans really 1/2 ??

ans is indeed 0.5
in the first case PB = Po and not Po + dla as point B is open to the atmosphere..
So, PA = PB + dgh = dgh
Hence the answer given is correct
