do u know that i had solved this
the solution was too lengthy so i provided u the link on web
there is a ellipse which is rotated about the axis to form an egg-like structure......a quarter of the egg is cut. We have to find out the centre of mass of the one-fourth egg......

VOlume distribution
Volume =\frac{4\pi abc}{3}
\rho =\frac{M}{\frac{4\pi abc}{3}}
m=\rho \frac{V}{4} =\frac{M}{\frac{4\pi abc}{3}}\frac{V}{4}=\frac{M}{4}
I know i am posting everything obvious..but I am stuck after this
Never worked in 3D space..
the real problem is where is the quarter cut off ????I mean positon of that removed part ???
\frac{\int_{0}^{\Pi /2}{\rho (\Pi b^2 Sin^2\theta )(aSin\theta d\theta )aCos\theta }}{\int_{0}^{\Pi /2}{\rho (\Pi b^2 Sin^2\theta )(aSin\theta d\theta )}}
solving from here we get x coordinate 3a/8
similarly find y & z coordinate (y and z coordinate are same)
all coordinates are same that are
(3a/16,3b/16,3c/16)
this is because when we cut any symmetrical thing into two parts then coordinate of COM (on the plane which we cut) does not change
{{{{ i.e when we cut any thing (symmetrical about x-axis) along x-axis then coordinate of COM on x axis does not change}}}[1][1]
i think it was not correct
put a=b=c it becomes solid sphere but COM is not same
thanks haarsh.......so here it goes.........

we have 2 find C-O-M of one-fourth of this...[1][1][1]
See..I am trying the simpler case...
Assume that quarter means quadrant...so the case will be..
Imageine the ellipse in fig as projection of ellipsoid in any plane
solid geometry se lagta hai try karna parega.......lekin problem yeh hai ki maine solid geometry nehi pada hai.
koi toh help karo yaar........finding myself in middle of indian ocean trying to swim......but i don't kno hw to?????????????
day before yesterday.............and the question was not 1/4 th egg...........it was 1/2 egg.
i am not making up all the sums.......by the way when did he give it to u 2 solve?????
This sum is copied from somewhere......soumya gave it to me to solve
volume distribution.....
hey theres a plan....why not do both??????????
I know its in 3D...I am talking abt mass distribution........
IS it surface mass distributiion like a grid(of wires) or volume distribution ??
no egg like means shape n the thing is 3d geometry uniform density...
